Bjarke Pauli Mogensen, born on December 27, 1985, in Ronne, Denmark, is a Danish accordionist who began playing at age seven. At thirteen, he debuted as a soloist with the Munich Symphony Orchestra. Mogensen studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and received a grant from the Statens Kunstråds Musikudvalg in 2008. He made his solo debut at Carnegie Hall in 2011, where he premiered Nick Martin's "Mother of Sorrows". He has collaborated with composers such as Anders Koppel, Martin Lohse, and Niklas Schmidt, who wrote new works for him. Mogensen released the album Accordion Concertos (2012) on the Da Capo label.
