Nobukazu Takemura, born on August 26, 1968, in Hirakata, Osaka, Japan, is a Japanese techno/electronica musician, composer of ambient music and minimal music, DJ, visual artist, and filmmaker. After beginning his music career independently, he emerged through projects such as Audio Sports and Spiritual Vibes before releasing solo albums such as Child's View (1994), Child and Magic (1997), and Knot of Meanings (2025). He founded the Childisc label in 1998, composed music for Issey Miyake fashion shows, television programs, commercials, and Sony’s Aibo robot dog, and collaborated with artists including Steve Jansen, Richard Barbieri, Yoshihide Otomo, Zu, and Noriko Tsujiko. His work has also been featured in multimedia projects, installations, and international exhibitions, while his remixes for artists such as Kirinji, Steve Reich, Tortoise, and Bonnie Pink further expanded his influence.
