Skatt Brothers, a band from Los Angeles, were formed in 1979. The band was founded by Sean Delaney, who had previously worked with KISS. Signed to Casablanca Records by Neil Bogart, the original lineup included Peter Sweval, Richard Martin-Ross, David Andez, Richie Fontana, and Craig Krampf. Their album, Strange Spirits, was released in 1979 and featured the single "Walk the Night", which reached number 9 on the U.S. Billboard Dance/Disco chart. In 1980, their hit single "Life at the Outpost" earned a gold record status in Australia. The band's second album, Rico & The Ravens, was released exclusively in Australia and marked a shift towards a more rock-oriented sound. Delaney passed away in 2003. In 2010, the European music company Premium Series reissued Strange Spirits. "Walk the Night" appeared on the official soundtrack of the video game Grand Theft Auto IV in 2008 and was featured in the film M3GAN.
