Dawn of Azazel is a death metal band from Auckland, New Zealand. The group released their first single "Bloodforged Abdication" in 2002 through Hellflame Records, which garnered international attention. Their debut album The Law Of The Strong was released in 2003 via Agonia Records, followed by extensive touring across Europe and New Zealand. Dawn of Azazel signed with Ibex Moon Records for their second album Sedition, released in 2005. The band continued to tour extensively, including notable shows with Korn and appearances at the Overcranked Festival in Australia in 2007. Their third album Relentless was released in 2009 under Unique Leader Records. From 2010 to 2012, Dawn of Azazel took an extended hiatus before resuming activities with a tour in Australia alongside Thy Art Is Murder.
