The Blackstones, a United Kingdom reggae trio formed in 1974, consisted of brothers Leon Leiffer, Byron Leiffer, and Neville Leiffer, who sang in the Jamaican harmony‑trio style. Their breakthrough came with the single "We Nah Go Suffer" on Daddy Kool, topping the British reggae chart and leading to the debut album Insight in 1979. In 1983, the lineup changed to Leon Leiffer, Tony Douglas, and Ken Kendricks, and the album Take Another Look at Love (1983) reached the top of the reggae albums chart. By 2004, the trio became Leon Leiffer, Tony Mahoney, and Junior Bailey, recording Tribute to Studio One (2005) for Clement “Coxsone” Dodd’s label before his death. In 2019, the group expanded to a quartet with AJ Franklin, releasing Musical Treasure Chest in 2021.
