Nikola Meeuwsen, born in The Hague, Netherlands, in 2002, is a Dutch classical pianist. Raised in a musical family, Meeuwsen won the Steinway Competition in Brussels at nine years of age in 2012, won the Concertgebouw Competition in 2014, and received the Concertgebouw Young Talent Award in 2019. He studied under Marlies van Gent, Enrico Pace at the Accademia Pianistica d'Imola, and Frank Braley and Avedis Kouyoumdjian at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel. Meeuwsen performed with ensembles including the Residentie Orchestra and received the Grachtenfestival Prize in 2023. On 1 June 2025, at 23 years of age, he became the first Dutch pianist to win First Prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels and the Queen Mathilde Prize, performing Kris Defoort's Music for the Heart and Sergei Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 2 in the final. His recording releases include his 2020 debut studio album, Avrotros, featuring works by Robert Schumann, Alexander Scriabin, Johannes Brahms, and Johann Sebastian Bach.
