Os Negative Approach são uma banda americana de hardcore punk de Detroit, Michigan, formada em 1981. O grupo foi fundado por John Brannon, Rob McCulloch, Graham McCulloch e Chris Moore. Realizaram o seu primeiro concerto numa cave residencial antes de lançarem uma demo e contribuírem para a compilação Process of Elimination (1981). Obtiveram reconhecimento profissional com o extended play homónimo Negative Approach (1982), que incluía as faixas "Can't Tell No One" (1982), "Ready to Fight" (1982) e "Nothing" (1982). A sua carreira discográfica inclui o disco de estúdio Tied Down (1983). Depois de ficar inativo em 1984, o conjunto retomou a atividade em 2006 com uma formação que incluía Brannon, Harry Richardson e Ron Sakowski. A sua discografia inclui a compilação Total Recall (1992) e o disco Nothing Will Stand in Our Way (2011).
