Until Death Overtakes Me are a Belgian funeral doom and ambient project from Erembodegem formed in 1999. The ensemble was established by Stijn van Cauter, originally performing as Macabre Destiny. They released the demo Symphony I – Deep Dark Red (2001) followed by the studio recording Symphony II – Absence of Life (2001). They achieved professional recognition for the studio album Prelude to Monolith (2003), which led to the Funeral Procession Tour alongside Skepticism and Pantheist. Following a period of inactivity starting in 2011, they resumed activity in 2016. Their recording career includes the compilation Well of Dreams (2016) and the track "Ruinous" (2016). Their discography includes the studio recordings Missing (2018), And Be No More (2020), and Diagenesis (2024).
