Portrayed as a "an engaging musician with a rare sensibility”, Tom Carré takes his first piano lessons in Carcassonne before entering the Conservatoire of Toulouse. Very young he’s invited to perform solo and in chamber orchestra in France and in Europe (Nancyphonies, Vexin Festival, Petit Palais, Beaux-Arts Museum in Paris, Piano passion, National Archives, Piano City Milano, Passe ton Bach d’abord, Piano à Collioure, Le Vent des Arts, Paris Kawaï show room).
Tom has had the opportunity to distinguish himself in numerous international competitions. He won the 1st prize unanimously at the Léopold Bellan competition, the 3rd prize as well as 4 special prizes including the public prize at the Piano Campus competition, and is a laureate of the Les Étoiles du Piano and Lagny-sur-Marne competitions.
He graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he obtained two degrees in piano and chamber music with unanimous approval and congratulations from the jury. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in the class of Denis Pascal.
During his career, Tom has been taught by Jean-François Heisser, Hortense Cartier-Bresson, Akiko Ebi, Jean-Frédéric Neuburger...
He forms the Trio Mylos with violinist Céleste Klingelschmitt and cellist Thomas Martin, with whom he regularly receives advice from Claire Désert's Trio Wanderer and François Salque.
He has also been selected by Jeunes talents to participate in their 2021-2022 programme as a soloist and the following year as a trio.
