Paint It Black is an American modern hardcore punk band from Philadelphia. The group's initial lineup included Dan Yemin on vocals, Andy Nelson on bass, and David Wagenschutz on drums. Their first release was the Demo EP in 2002. The band gained traction with their debut full-length album, CVA, released on July 29th, 2003, which featured notable tracks such as "Bravo, Another Beautiful 'Fuck You' Song!". Their subsequent albums, Paradise (2005) and New Lexicon (2008), further solidified their presence in the hardcore punk scene. The band released two EPs, Amnesia and Surrender, in 2009. In 2013, they released another EP titled Invisible. After a decade-long hiatus, Paint It Black signed with Revelation Records and released the EP Famine on November 3rd, 2023.
