John Waller, born on December 12, 1970, in Fayetteville, Georgia, is an American Christian singer, songwriter, and composer. In 2007, he was named one of the 10 “Faces to Watch” by Billboard magazine. Waller was discovered by Mark Hall, the singer of Casting Crowns, and subsequently signed a contract with the Christian record labels Beach Street Records and Reunion Records. His debut studio album, The Blessing, was released in March 2007. The single “While I'm Waiting” became a hit on United States Christian radio and was featured on the soundtrack of the film Fireproof. In the spring of 2008, he toured with Casting Crowns and Leeland on The Altar and the Door tour, which concluded on May 31, 2008. His subsequent studio albums include As for Me and My House (2011), which was produced by Jason Hoard and released on City of Peace Records, and Life is a Gift (2014). He was inspired to become a singer after hearing a song by Steven Curtis Chapman, having also recovered from a twenty-year struggle with depression.
