Azarath is a Polish death metal band formed in Tczew in 1998 by drummer Zbigniew “Inferno” Promiński, vocalist and guitarist Bartłomiej “Bruno” Waruszewski, guitarist Andrzej “D.” Zdrojewski, and bassist Radosław “Thorn” Murawski. Guitarist Bartłomiej “Bart” Szudek joined in 2000. After the demos Traitors (1998) and Destroy Yourself (2000), Azarath released their debut album, Demon Seed (2001), and toured Poland with Vader on the Revelations Tour in 2002. Their subsequent albums included Infernal Blasting (2003), Diabolic Impious Evil (2006), and Praise the Beast (2009). Following Bruno’s departure in 2009, Marek “Necrosodom” Lechowski joined as vocalist and bassist. Piotr “Peter” Ostrowski became the group’s bassist in 2011, while Necrosodom continued on vocals and guitar. The band released Blasphemers’ Maledictions (2011) and In Extremis (2017), after which Necrosodom departed and Marcin “Skullripper” Sienkiel joined on vocals and guitar. In 2020, Azarath released Saint Desecration.
