Chris Durán is a French-born Brazilian singer and evangelical pastor. Born Christian Calderin in 1975 in Dieppe, France, he began his professional singing career in 1998. He released the album Te Perdi in 1997 and recorded a self-titled album in 1999. In 2001, following a car accident in Chile during a promotional tour, Durán embraced evangelical Christianity. He subsequently shifted his focus to religious music and released his first gospel recording, Reverência, in 2004. His subsequent recordings included the albums Renúncia (2005), Dá-me Almas (2007) and the live recording Chris Durán Au Vivo (2006). In 2008, he became an evangelical pastor at a church in Rio de Janeiro. Durán continued to release gospel music including the albums Meu Encontro (2010), Entrega (2012) and Eloim em Foz do Iguaçu (2018). In 2009, he recorded the live project Alliance - Chris Duran live in Bercy Paris.
