Beatrice, a Hungarian rock band, was founded in 1969 as an all-female group playing cover songs. In 1971, Nagy Feró joined as frontman, and by 1974, they began writing their own glam rock songs. The band shifted towards disco music in 1976 but disbanded in 1977. Beatrice reunited in 1978 with a new lineup focused on blues-based rock, influenced by bands like AC/DC. They disbanded in 1977, but reformed in 1987. Beatrice achieved significant success with albums like Utálom Az Egész XX. Századot (1991), which topped the Mahasz disk sales chart for 40 weeks. Their biggest hit, "8 óra munka", became a staple of their sold-out concerts. By 1994, the band's lineup had dwindled, leading to a reorganization under the name New Beatrice.
