The Sentimental Mood Trio is the love dedication from Armel Dupas (piano), Jules Billé (bass) and Christophe Piot (drums) to the jazz standards from Broadway in the manner of the great classic trios from the 1950's (Oscar Peterson, Red Garland, George Shearing, Sonny Clark, and more...)
The three French fellows share their passion for the melodies in performing and recording them in the simplest manner, the way Norman Granz would produce songbooks in the golden era of jazz : a short introduction, the melody clearly presented, a delicate improvisation, then the theme again and coda.
A maximum 3 or 4 minutes, a short form dedicated to swing and elegance.
