Violetta Parisini, born in 1980 in Vienna, Austria, is an Austrian singer-songwriter. Raised in Vienna-Alsergrund, she completed her studies in philosophy and theater studies in 2005 with a diploma thesis on Gilles Deleuze and Jim Jarmusch. Her musical journey began with influences from Nina Simone and Ella Fitzgerald, leading to collaborations with electronic musicians during her time in Bavaria. Parisini's career took off in the mid-2000s, featuring on albums like Bodymovement (2004) and Stand Still (2009). Her debut album, Giving You My Heart to Mend, was released in 2010. She was nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Awards 2010 in the Pop/Rock category and the FM4 Award. Parisini performed with Joe Cocker and collaborated on projects like Slow Club Revisited. Her second album, Open Secrets, was released in 2011. After a hiatus, she released her third album, Alles Bleibt, in 2020.
