Jürgen Renfordt, born on January 25, 1955, in Wetter an der Ruhr, Germany, is a singer, composer, and producer known for his contributions to Schlager music. After studying German language and literature and sports at the Ruhr University Bochum, Renfordt began his musical career as a singer in various rock groups before transitioning to Schlager. His breakthrough came in the early 1980s with notable appearances in the German Eurovision Song Contest pre-selections. In 1984, he released the duet "Kein Wort zuviel" with Denise, a cover of The Alan Parsons Project's "Don’t answer me". Renfordt also achieved significant success as a composer and lyricist, writing hits for artists such as Sandy Wagner, Michael Holm, Ibo, Roy Black, and Die Flippers. His composition "Zu verkaufen: Ein schneeweißes Brautkleid" became a cult hit in 1988.
