The Greenhornes was an American garage rock ensemble from Cincinnati established in 1996. The group consisted of the musicians Craig Fox, Jack Lawrence, and Patrick Keeler. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by garage rock and blues rock. The ensemble was founded by the vocalist and guitarist Fox, the bassist Lawrence, and the drummer Keeler. Their recording career began with the single “The End of the Night / No More” (1998) released on the label Deary Me Records. The Greenhornes achieved professional recognition for the debut studio recording Gun for You (1999). Their discography included the eponymous studio recording The Greenhornes (2001) and the studio recording Dual Mono (2002). The ensemble became inactive in 2003 but resumed activity in 2005 to release the extended play East Grand Blues (2005) and the compilation recording Sewed Soles (2005). The Greenhornes achieved professional recognition for the song “There Is an End” (2005) being featured as the theme for the movie Broken Flowers (2005). They achieved professional recognition for returning in 2010 and releasing the studio recording Four Stars (2010). The recording featured the song “Saying Goodbye” (2010), which was included on the soundtrack for the movie The Green Hornet (2011). The ensemble became inactive in 2012.
