Peggio Punx was an Italian hardcore punk group from Alessandria formed in 1981. The original lineup included Mauro Carosio, Marco Laguzzi, Paolo Chilin, and Federico Massarino. In 1982, they released the debut EP Disastro sonoro (1982) on their own label, Peggio Records. The group’s music was characterized by experimental sounds and politically charged lyrics. They contributed the song “Life of Punishment” (1984) to the International P.E.A.C.E. Benefit Compilation (1984). Subsequent recordings include the EPs La città è quieta......ombre parlano (1983) and Ci stanno uccidendo al suono della nostra musica (1985). After a brief hiatus, they released the studio albums Cattivi maestri (1989) and Alterazione della struttura (1992), the latter under the name Peggio. The band disbanded in 1993. A double CD collection, Discography (2002), appeared in 2002.
