Love Shop, a Danish pop rock band, was formed in 1986 by vocalist/songwriter Jens Unmack and guitarist/producer Hilmer Hassig. The group later included singer Mikael Dehn and harmonicist Henrik Hall. Their breakthrough came with the release of their debut album, 1990, which won the Danish Grammy for Pop Release of the Year in 1991. Notable songs include "En nat bliver det sommer" and "Love Goes On Forever". In 1997, they released their album Go!. The band announced an indefinite hiatus in 2004 due to internal disputes. Tragically, Hassig died in a traffic accident in 2008. Following tribute concerts, the remaining members reunited and released Frelsens hær in 2010. Hall passed away from cancer in 2011, leaving Unmack as the sole official member of Love Shop. The band received the IFPI's Honorary Award in 2009, and in 2026, "En nat bliver det sommer" was ranked number 50 on DR's Top 100 best Danish songs ever.
