Gévaudan is a British epic doom metal band from Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire established in 2013. The ensemble consists of guitarist Bruce Hamilton, bassist Andy Salt, drummer David Himbury, and vocalist Adam Pirmohamed. Their recording career began with the debut self-released extended play Message for the Damned (2014) followed by the download single “The Burning of the Black Sun” (2015). The ensemble subsequently released the extended play Litost (2016). Their discography included the debut studio recording Iter (2019), which was mixed and mastered by the recording engineer Mike Exeter. Gévaudan reached professional recognition in 2023 after signing with the label Meuse Music Records and releasing the concept studio recording Umbra. The work was described by critics as a progressive interpretation of the epic doom genre. The ensemble has performed international tours of the United Kingdom and Europe.
