Axel Zwingenberger, born in Hamburg, Germany, is a pianist known for his contributions to jazz, blues, and boogie-woogie music. He began playing the piano at age six and later discovered boogie-woogie. He worked with US jazz and blues musicians such as Big Joe Turner, Lionel Hampton, and Champion Jack Dupree, resulting in numerous recordings. Notable albums include Boogie Woogie Classics (1992) and The Magic of Boogie Woogie (2010). Zwingenberger's work was recognized when he won the German Schallplattenpreis for his 1979 album Let's Boogie Woogie All Night Long. He was inducted into the Boogie Woogie Hall of Fame in 2007.
