Emanuele Maniscalco, born in 1983 in Brescia, Italy, is an Italian jazz pianist and drummer whose early training was largely autodidactic. He began playing piano at eight, switched to drums four years later, and entered the local jazz scene in 1999. In 2010, he formed the trio Third Reel with Nicolas Masson and Roberto Pianca, leading to the release of Third Reel (2013) and Many More Days (2015) on ECM Records. Maniscalco collaborated with Enrico Rava, Giovanni Guidi, Stefano Battaglia, and Stefano Bollani, and performed in projects such as Maria Faust's Sacrum Factum and Skyllumina (2024) by Ruth Goller.
