Le Pélican frisé is a French ska group from Nanterre, founded in 1992 by Hugues, also known as Rahan, on cello, Piéro on guitar, Maryline on drums, Christo on vocals, and Julien on bass. The band's first concert took place in 1994, marking the beginning of their live performances across France, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, and other countries. The group released their first EP Y'en a d'dans (1999) (also referred to as a four-track release in 2000). In 2009, they released the album Asozial, which showcased their distinctive sound with each track offering originality while maintaining overall coherence. Their other releases include the studio album Ska, Bières et Rock'n'roll (2005) and a live vinyl album, Live 1992-2012 (2013). Notable shared-stage performances include appearances with Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, The Aggrolites, and Les Betteraves.
