Roberto Jacketti & the Scooters are a Dutch pop band from De Rijp formed in 1980. The group consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Erik van der Hoff, Bart Corver, Rob Blanchemanche, Barend Middelhoff, and Jeroen Booy. They achieved professional recognition with the single “I Save the Day” (1984), which reached number 2 on the national charts. They followed this with the single “Make Me Cry” (1984) and their debut studio album, Time (1984), both of which reached number 7. The ensemble received the Silver Harp from Conamus in 1984. Their recording career includes the studio albums Oh... Not Again (1985) and Madman (1987). After disbanding in 1989, they returned for various performances and established a theatertour in 2023. Van der Hoff subsequently established a career as a television director and presenter.
