Computerjockeys was a German electronic music duo from Cologne consisting of Wolfgang Hagedorn and Michael Lückner, also known as Digital Jockey. Active from the late 1990s, the pair became known for their avant-garde electronic music incorporating Asian musical elements and for performing live using only notebook computers. They toured clubs and electronic music festivals from 1997, gaining wider recognition with their self-titled debut album in 1999, which featured the hit "Pingpong." Their second album, Plankton (2001), expanded their sound with Japanese vocals by Ayako Akashiba and included the title songs for the series Golden Boy and Lupin III. Afterward, both members pursued separate projects, with Lückner founding Guitar and Hagedorn later co-founding Electric Beatniks.
