A Death for Every Sin was a Canadian metalcore and hardcore punk band from Montreal, founded in August 1999 by guitarist Frederic Tremblay, vocalist Nick Racicot, and drummer Ben Dussault. Shortly after their formation, the group welcomed guitarist Max Jenniss and bassist Phil Marchand. The band has been noted for their aggressive blend of hardcore punk and metalcore, drawing comparisons to acts like Merauder, early Machine Head, and Hatebreed. Their initial release was a demo featuring three tracks, followed by the EP God’s Final Descent, released in 2000 via Sounds of Revolution. The band's lineup expanded with the addition of guitarist Carl Bouchard and bassist Ben Trepanier before releasing their debut album, In a Time Where Hope is Lost, in 2002, through Alveran Records. A Death for Every Sin disbanded following their final concert on April 5, 2003.
