Catherine Davey (born 1979 in Dublin) is an Irish singer‑songwriter. She released the four‑track EP Come Over in 2004 and her debut album Something Ilk the same year, produced by Ben Hillier. The album drew critical attention but Davey later described it as shaped by the label. In 2007, she issued Tales of Silversleeve, produced by Liam Howe, and the single "Reuben" earned a 2007 Choice Music Prize nomination and a 2008 Meteor Award for Best Irish Female. The album topped Irish sales upon release and was named the tenth‑best Irish album of the decade by The Irish Times. Davey followed with The Nameless in 2010, featuring Conor J. O'Brien and Neil Hannon, and the single "Little Red", and later New Forest in 2016. Her touring history included performances at Eurosonic, South by Southwest, Electric Picnic, and The Late Late Show. Collaborations spanned Autamata, Elbow, the Duckworth Lewis Method, and a duet with Gavin Glass. In 2011, she won Best Pop Act at the Digital Socket Awards. Davey later established animal‑rescue charities.
