Vicente Pradal, born in Toulouse, France in 1957, is a Spanish singer-guitarist, composer, and performer. An admirer of Paco Ibáñez and Enrique Morente, Pradal set poems by Saint John of the Cross, Pablo Neruda, and Federico García Lorca to music. His album Guitarra Flamenca was released in 1979. Throughout his career, Pradal collaborated with notable artists such as Carmen Linares and Pepe el Habichuela. In 2000, he composed and directed L'Amour de Loin, based on the poems of Jaufre Rudel. Pradal founded the "Festival Toulouse l'Espagnole" in 2009, which celebrates Spanish artistry. His album Herencia (2009), featuring his children Rafael and Paloma, underscored the importance of cultural transmission.
