Subtle. Light-dark. Emotive.
Led by the singer-songwriters, Nika and Max Ellansky, Ellanika’s music is characterized by Nika’s deep, caressing voice – fragile and unshakable, like an ancient caryatid, and catchy perfect melodies (“Solitude,” “Time,” “Feelings”). Ellanika’s songs radiate with colors, from the morning blue and lime light south rays to the depths of dark apathy. The lyrics, as Max puts it, “are clear as air and engulfing as quicksand,” containing a wide spectrum of feelings – new hope, solitude, time transiency, angst, love. Ellanika’s music encompasses elements of melancholic piano ballads, indie pop, and soft rock.
Ellanika was formed in the fall of 2022 as a pursuit of creativity in a shattering world. However, the pillars began to rise long before, first by delving into the depths of music, from classical to modern, and then by finding its own voice and style.
Ellanika’s 2023 debut EP, Rayborn, is a testament to the power of the inner world and the ability to transcend the challenges that arise from within and without.
