Shuteen Erdenebaatar, born 3 July 1998 in Ulan Bator, is a Mongolian jazz pianist and composer who began classical piano at six and won a youth composition contest before studying classical composition at the Mongolian State University for Culture and Art. In 2017, she released her debut album The Jazz Train with her quintet, the first instrumental jazz album recorded in Mongolia, earning the Hi‑Fi Label’s designation of Best Album of the Year. After completing a double master’s in jazz piano and composition at the University of Music and Performing Arts Music (2018‑2022), she released Rising Sun in 2023 on Motéma Music, named Jazz Album of the Week by the North German Radio. She has received the Kurt Maas Jazz Prize (2021), the BMW Young Artist Jazz Award (2022), and the Biberacher Jazz Prize composition prize (2022). Her quartet also won the 2024 German Jazz Prize for Ensemble of the Year.
