Velcra was a Finnish industrial metal and electronic rock group formed in 2000, led by vocalist Jessi Frey. The band's music features a blend of clean and distorted female vocals, heavily distorted guitars, marching beats, and sample loops. After signing with Virgin Records, the group released its debut studio album, Consequences of Disobedience, in 2002. The singles “Can't Stop Fighting” and “My Law” helped the band rise to number 5 on the Finnish charts. In 2005, the group released Between Force and Fate, which featured a heavier sound, and the single “Our Will Against Their Will” peaked at number 3 on the Finnish chart. A third studio album, Hadal, was released on May 30, 2007, and was accompanied by the singles “Quick and Dirty” and “Dusk Becomes a Dawn”. The group became inactive in 2008 following lineup changes, including the addition of guitarist Timo Hänninen.
