Velour 100 was a dream pop band from Ypsilanti, Michigan, United States. Formed in 1995 by multi-instrumentalist Trey Many and vocalist Amon Krist, the group initially released The Rainwater EP on cassette. Their breakthrough came with the release of their debut album Fall Sounds, which was issued via Tooth & Nail Records in 1996. The band's ethereal sound drew comparisons to artists such as Cocteau Twins and Slowdive. After Krist left, Velour 100 released Of Color Bright in 1997, featuring vocalists Tess Wiley of Sixpence None the Richer, Sydney Rentz of Morella's Forest, and Karin Oliver of His Name Is Alive. The band went on hiatus after a few more shows and short tours until their last appearance at The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor on October 16, 2000.
