Les Georges Leningrad was a Canadian experimental rock and punk band formed in Montreal, Quebec, in 1999. Renowned for their theatrical performances, the group wore elaborate costumes and masks while cultivating an eccentric public image through deliberately absurd interviews. Originally a four-piece, they became a trio after bassist Toundra LaLouve departed following their debut album. Their releases included Made in Taiwan (2002), Deux Hot Dogs Moutarde Chou (2002), Sur les Traces de Black Eskimo (2004), Supa Doopa Remix (2005), and Sangue Puro (2006). In 2007, they composed the score for Asparagus: A Horticultural Ballet, performed in London, before announcing an indefinite hiatus later that year.
