Marc Drouin, born in 1957 in Quebec, Canada, is a singer and composer. He trained at the National Theatre School of Canada as an actor and further honed his skills in playwriting and improvisation in Paris under Alain Knapp. Drouin's breakthrough came with the comedy musical Pied de poule, which premiered in 1982 and attracted over 250,000 spectators. His first LP, Marc Drouin et les Échalottes, was released in 1984, featuring the hit single "Après l'école". In 1986, he released Vis ta vinaigrette, and the show inspired by the album won him three Félix Awards at the ADISQ Gala in 1987. Throughout his career, Drouin has collaborated with Robert Léger on numerous projects and released notable albums such as Showman in 1990 and La Tête dans les spots (2004).
