Elektrisk Regn, a new wave punk band from Bergen, Norway, was founded in 1978. The group emerged during the rise of new wave music in Norway alongside bands like De Press and Kjøtt. Their debut studio album Steinbyen was released in 1982 on Apollon Records, featuring Dennis Reksten as lead vocalist and primary songwriter. The album showcased Reksten's ability to write both humorous and serious lyrics addressing heavy political themes. One of their most notable songs is "Naboen er nynazist" ("My neighbour is a neo-Nazi"). Their second studio album Kropp uten sjel followed in 1985, but the band did not release another full-length album until 2002 with Stein igjen. Elektrisk Regn performed irregularly in Bergen and released an EP titled Hilsen El Regn in 1987.
