The Push Stars, an American rock band, were formed in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1996 and consisted of Chris Trapper, Ryan MacMillan, and Dan McLoughlin. Their debut album Meet Me at the Fair appeared on Imago in 1996, followed by the EP Tonight in 1997. In 1998, they contributed "Everything Shines" to the soundtrack of There's Something About Mary, which attracted Capitol Records; the label released the album After The Party in 1999. Subsequent releases included Opening Time (2001) and Paint the Town (2004). The band toured America with Matchbox Twenty after a 2003 session with producer Greg Collins.
