The Plan is a Swedish rock band formed in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2001 by Theodor Jensen. The group initially included Mikael Furugärde, Niklas Korssell, and Peter Morén. After recording its first demo in the winter of 2000-2001, the group was signed by EMI in early 2001. Its self-titled debut album, The Plan, was released in September 2001, preceded by the single "Mon Amour" (2001), and entered the Swedish charts at number 2. The album was nominated for four Grammis awards: best debut act, best album, best pop/rock group, and best composer. Following a European tour, Korssell and Morén left the band in 2002. Jensen worked with Furugärde until Furugärde departed after their second album, Embrace Me Beauty (2004). The group's third album, Walk for Gold, was released in October 2006, with Jensen as the sole permanent member.
