Greta Salome

Greta Salóme is an Icelandic singer, songwriter, and violinist who was born as Gréta Salóme Stefánsdóttir in Mosfellsbær, Iceland, in 1986. She achieved early professional recognition as a violinist in the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and is famous for representing Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012 and 2016. In 2012, she performed the track “Never Forget” in a duet with Jónsi, and her discography includes her debut studio recording In the Silence (2012), which featured both English and Icelandic versions of the song. Salóme returned to Eurovision as a soloist in 2016 with the track “Hear Them Calling”, which reached Number 1 on the Icelandic charts. Her later releases include the singles “My Blues” (2017) and “Wildfire” (2018).
