Koldbrann, a Norwegian black metal band, was formed in 2001 by Mannevond. The group's initial lineup included Dragev on guitars and Fordervelse on drums. Koldbrann released their first demo, Pre-prod 2002, in 2002, followed by another demo, Mislyder fra Det Nekrotiske Kammer, in December of the same year. Their debut full-length album, Nekrotisk Inkvisition, was released in 2003 and re-released by several labels, including Desolate Landscapes and Northern Silence Productions. The band's second album, Moribund, came out in 2006. Koldbrann signed with Season of Mist in November 2012 and released their third full-length album, Vertigo, in 2013. This album received critical acclaim, including being named "album of the month" by Norway's Scream Magazine. In 2024, Koldbrann released their fourth studio album, Ingen Skånsel, which won the Spellemannprisen 2024 in the hard rock & metal category.
