Kid Kilowatt was an American rock supergroup formed in 1996 in Methuen, Massachusetts and featured members from Cave In, Converge, and Piebald. Initially known as Ester of Wood Rosin, the band was founded by Steve Brodsky, who recruited Adam McGrath on bass guitar, Matt Redmond on drums, and Aaron Stuart on guitar and vocals. They began writing material for their debut album Guitar Method (2004) within months of formation. In 1997, after Aaron Stuart left to focus on Piebald, Kurt Ballou from Converge joined the band, and they renamed themselves Kid Kilowatt. The band disbanded in 1997 and their final show at the Met Cafe in Providence, Rhode Island was held in January 1998. Guitar Method was released by Second Nature Recordings on March 9, 2004.
