TrinityRoots, formed in Wellington, New Zealand, in 1998, is known for blending electronic music, folk music, rock music, soul music, and world music. They released their self-titled EP Trinity Roots in October 2000. Their albums True (May 2002) and Home, Land and Sea (June 2004) both of which achieved Platinum status in New Zealand with minimal advertising or media attention. Notable songs include "Little Things", featured in an episode of the cartoon bro'Town. The band played alongside international acts such as Ben Harper and Lee Scratch Perry, as well as local bands like Fat Freddy's Drop and Che Fu. TrinityRoots disbanded in 2005 after a final concert to raise relief funds for the Boxing Day Tsunami at the Wellington Town Hall. They reunited in September 2010 and embarked on a tour of New Zealand. In 2011, Riki Gooch left the band, and was replaced by Jean Pompey.
