Stephanie Kirkham is an English pop singer-songwriter from the Ribble Valley in Lancashire who has been active since 2003. She was raised in the Ribble Valley listening to Joni Mitchell, The Beatles and Johnny Cash, and she aspired to write songs of her own. She studied at Blackpool Art College and worked in a range of creative jobs, including arts and crafts, floristry and painting. After Jamie Nelson received her a cappella songs in the post, he arranged the first recordings, which laid the groundwork for her debut album. David Boyd signed her to a five-album deal with Hut/Virgin, and That Girl was released in 2003. Hut closed roughly six months after she signed, and she then began writing her second album, Sunlight on My Soul, which arrived in 2006 on SLK Music. It drew reviews across the UK, with critics praising her bold progression and a sound that blends Tudor madrigals, Celtic folk, country and jazz-tinged pop. Her third album, Tiny Spark, followed in 2016 on Easy Action Recordings, with Phil Thornalley recording and producing it and Mads Hauge serving as co-producer. Her singles include "Inappropriate", "Show Me What You're Made Of", "Easy As 123", "Best Time Ever" and "Future Come On".
