Search the City was an American rock band from Detroit, Michigan, formed in 2004 by Alex Sheldon and Adam McMillion. The group added Josh Frost on vocals, Jim Czech on guitar, and Eli Clark on bass. Their debut EP Ghosts was released in 2006, followed by touring including the Vans Warped Tour and opening for bands such as The Audition and Spitalfield. In 2008, Search the City signed to Tooth & Nail Records and released their first full-length album A Fire So Big the Heavens Can See It, which peaked at number 46 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart. Produced by James Paul Wisner, the album drew comparisons to Jimmy Eat World's sound, including their album Bleed American. In 2011, McMillion left the band and was replaced by Travis Bobier as lead vocalist in June 2012. This lineup released the group's second and final full-length album Flight in 2013.
