Orlík, a Czech folk-influenced oi! punk band, was formed in 1988 by Daniel Landa and David Matásek following their work in the hardcore punk band F.A.S. (Fetal Alcohol Syndrome). The group released their debut album Oi! in 1990, followed by Demise in 1991. Their lyrics during this time addressed nationalistic themes and opposition to fascism. Orlík is also credited with helping popularize the skinhead subculture in Czechoslovakia. The band broke up in 1991, after which frontman Daniel Landa pursued a successful solo career, while David Matásek returned to acting.
