Neljä Ruusua is a Finnish pop-rock ensemble from Joensuu established in 1982. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by Finnish rock and for being founded under the name Talouskukkaro. The group consisted of the vocalist and guitarist Ilkka Alanko, the guitarist Petteri Koistinen, the bassist Jari Laakkonen, and the drummer Kari Kämäräinen. They achieved professional recognition for a career that began after the claviériste Matti Suomela departed the group in 1985 and the ensemble adopted its current name. Neljä Ruusua achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Haloo (1992), which achieved platinum certification, and the studio recording Pop-uskonto (1993), which reached Number 1 in the Finnish charts and achieved platinum certification. Their discography included the studio recording Mood (1996) and the studio recording Not for Sale (1997) released under the name 4R to pursue international success. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for resuming Finnish lyrics with the studio recording Uusi Aalto (1999), which reached Number 1 and achieved gold certification. Their recording career included the studio recording Katkera Kuu (2012) and the studio recording 1000X (2022). Neljä Ruusua achieved professional recognition for winning Emma awards for band of the year in 1992 and 1993.
