In 2023, under the melancholic skies of Nova Friburgo, Marlon Combat and Carlos Misanthropic brought "A Dead Poem" to life. Initially, their first two records resonated with the cold and imposing aura of Doom Black Metal, rescuing a sound abandoned by bands of the style in the 90s, resulting in two excellent records.
The first EP “Absence of Life” was released worldwide in December 2023 by the label Cold Art Industry Records. Taking the name of A Dead Poem to other continents, attracting the attention of the most demanding doomers, including the great Mexican label Personal Records, responsible for releasing their debut album worldwide, the successful “Abstract Existence” in December 2024.
Now in 2025, treading even darker paths. Dead Poem emerges from the Luciferian shadows, revealing “Lykos”, their latest single, revealing a Doom Dark Metal sound enriched by ethereal and melancholic Gothic elements.
