Aquilino Enrique Rodríguez Ruiz, born in Buenos Aires on 8 March 1901, was an Argentine bandoneon player and composer of tangos. He began performing professionally with a pianist in silent films and later joined the sextet of Joaquín Mora before entering the orchestra of Edgardo Donato. In 1936, he formed his own ensemble, recording extensively for Odeon from 1937 to 1971 and producing over 350 tracks. Rodríguez’s work achieved widespread popularity across Argentina and Latin America. He died on 4 September 1971.
