Helén Eriksen, born October 19, 1971 in Dale, Norway, is a jazz singer-songwriter, arranger, and saxophonist. She was part of the Bergen-based pop group Animal Farm from 1993 to 1995. Eriksen released her debut solo album Standards on Blue Note Records in 1996, produced by Tommy Tee, which won her the Spellemannprisen award for Newcomer that same year. Her subsequent albums include Lovevirgin, also released under Blue Note in 1998 and produced by Tommy Tee, and City Dust in 2000 on Curling Legs. In 2006, she released Small Hall Classic. Eriksen has collaborated with several artists including DumDum Boys, Pogo Pops, Sondre Lerche, Tommy Tee, Son of Light, BLee and jazz legend Alf Kjellman.
