Hudba Praha was a Czech rock band formed in 1981 by Michal Ambrož following the ban of his previous group, Jasná Páka. The initial lineup included Jan Ivan Wünsch on bass and Vladimír Zatloukal on guitar. In 1985, they released their album Hudba Praha. Throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, Hudba Praha performed extensively across Czechoslovakia, releasing notable albums such as Maelström (1993) and Maják (1995). The band's lineup evolved over time. In 1996, they released their album of the first iteration, Divoký srdce, followed by a live double album Na Shledanou in 1997. After a hiatus from 1996 to 1999, Hudba Praha reunited and continued performing until 2015. In 2010, they released their album, De Generace. The band split into two separate entities in 2015, Hudba Praha Band and Michal Ambrož a Hudba Praha.
